It is great to get off the beaten path into the back-country. Food for several days of camping can be a true burden to pack in. It is always great to catch a fish or harvest some small game. On this trip I was luckily able to stumble across a group of dusky grouse. This grouse made a great dinner cooked over an open sage wood fire really beats Pb&j. Keep an eye out next time you are in the back country, grouse can be hard to spot but easy to hunt.
